Oed SPI Sorcerer?

Okay, this topic is going to test for the REAL old grognards. Who remembers this old SPI game? Six magical universes impinge upon a more-or-less normal human universe. Each of the universes is known by its characteristic color (blue universe, red universe, etc.) and nasty monsters like air dragons, demons and trolls live in the magic universes.

Human sorcerers learn to control the demons and their planes, and magic in this game was VERY powerful (Sorcerers could, for example, conjure ARMIES of demons, or throw magic golts that would destroy those armies from continental distances).

Anyway, I have always toyed with the idea of doing a gonzo-level Oed game that would be set in this world. It is not a nice one. The Sorcerers pretty much run everything, and they are not attached to abstract principles of good and evil, but just power politics (at least, the fluff makes it seem that way).

Curious if anyone else ever did anything with this setting? The S&W rules seem like they'd make a good starting point for it.

I remember seeing the game, in stores, I assume, but never had a copy or read it.

Sounds like part of the basis for the Mystara settings of Glantri and Alphatia that TSR put out back in the day, but taken to their logical conclusion rather than the restrained treatment in the released products. Could be really interesting. I'm not aware of anything like that being worked on at present.

Not sure I'd pay to read such a setting, but would certainly read posts or articles articulating the idea.

But, no, I don't recall Sorcerer: The Game of Magical Conflict. I'm probably too young. :oops:
