Loved your work back in the day and still do! Nice to see you showing up on the Internet - thanks for posting this stuff.

ICE MERP Layouts from the Palantir Quest and Minas Tirith

Postby Iguana » Tue Aug 02, 2011 2:51 am

Its been a while since I posted any artwork over at Tales from the Tower but I just added a few new illustrations that I did for ICE's MERP modules for the Palantir Quest and Minas Tirith back in the spring of 1994. These were some of the first illustrations I did for them and you can see the beginnings of my signature style emerging in these drawings. I also did some CAD drawings for both modules and a bunch of other residence plans for Minas Tirith but they aren't as nice as these so I didn't post them. I may post more in the future though. Cool, thanks. That's one of my favorites too (that and the Osgiliath map). I didn't remember the name originally but that's the town of Larach Duhnnan from the Palantir quest and it was a labor of love - I spent a lot of time on that one. If you guys need any B&W maps like this drawn let me know - I'm still looking for commissions (maps, cities, towns, castles, dungeons, buildings or whatever). I was at Gen Con last week/weekend handing out business cards and am trying to get back into doing game art layouts.

ICE Rolemaster Trade Dress Illustrations for RMSS, 3rd / 4th

Postby Iguana » Mon Dec 24, 2012 10:58 pm

I just posted a series of illustrations from back in my days working at Iron Crown Enterprises (ICE) for Rolemsater over at Tales from the Tower - check it out:

http://iguanaslair.blogspot.com/2012/12 ... -iron.html

These were trade dress illustrations in the style of the Moria borders from the earlier MERP module used as trade dress for the new and succeeding Rolemaster line of rule books done by ICE from the mid to late 90's.

You can also view the rest of my ICE including MERP drawings here:

and the original stone border Moria Maps that inspired the Stone Runes here:

Note that the first three are my interpretations of the Essence rune, the Mentalism Rune and the Channeling Rune from the original Spell Law book, drawn after acceptance of the original prototype rune drawings by ICE.
