[Mythmere] A WB request.

House rules and other discussion of the WhiteBox rules (if it's applicable to S&W generally, it can go into General Discussion, though)

Yeah, I felt pretty silly when I found out I'd been working on a project nobody wanted. That's my penalty for not reading carefully! I'm just glad I found out before I put hours of work into the document.

Anyway, take care and good gaming! :D

I can't help but to sorta feel like a jerk. My apologies.

You don't owe any apologies. I'm at home recuperating from an accident and was under the influence of some major pain Rx, I should have read a bit more carefully. No harm, no foul!

I wouldn't say that. I'd still like to see WB get more attention, and a facelift of the document might help.

I formatted about a third of the book while laying on the couch one evening, though I'm sure the fine tuning would be more time consuming. Libre Office can generate a TOC, index, and bookmarks for PDF, which would be big improvements.

On the other hand, the existing document is serviceable, and the time might be better spent on new projects supporting WB.

I sure agree wif Paul. I know I'd love to see more Whitebox material, but not just another reformatting of the the rulebook.

First of all: Hello to everyone here,

I've actually reformatted the BHP version of WhiteBox into odt (in a way that is serves my needs). I could upload it, if it helped.

Kind regards,
schlossblick

I wouldn't want this. It sounds kind of illegal and gay.

Thank you for the kind offer, schlossblick, but I don't think that will be necessary. Matt has text files available for download if anyone wants them.

Not sure if I will ever finish it, but last week I started laying out White Box 3rd edition in .odt format, but with 1st ed design aesthetics.

The whole "no table of contents" and "no index" was preventing me from buying the 3rd ed White Box HC, even with 20% off Lulu coupons. I love the idea of those little 6 x 9 hardcovers as birthday gifts for my kid's friends, but being devoid of TOCs and indexes was a deal break for me. I totally understand why 3rd ed went from layout to word processed, but it just wasn't cutting it for me.

Don't know if I will ever finish (or even figure out how to properly bind it), but at least I'll feel like it "looks" the way I would expect it to.

What I would like to see added would be castle construction rules, siege combat, ship combat and seafaring rules.
